What will my Local SEO Essentials program look like?

Every client campaign is unique but each starts with an on-boarding interview, a local SEO audit, setup on our tracking and reporting platform, some initial website recommendations, a review of your Google Analytics and Search Console, keyword research, and recommendations for optimising your Google Business Profile.

Thereafter we provide ongoing support with growing your online reviews, building your local directory citations, monthly local SEO performance tracking & reporting, and local SEO advice and support at our monthly catch-ups.

Onboarding interview

As a first step we interview you to gather essential details about your business including locations and any brand names you operate under, your website domains and technical setup, your social media channels, your current sales and marketing activities, any challenges you may be facing or goals you may be looking to achieve, your key products and services, your competitors and of course your target customers.

This helps us establish a deeper understanding of your business, your objectives and any wider considerations from the outset.

Local SEO audit

We then conduct an initial local SEO audit of your digital footprint for each physical location to establish a benchmark for your existing local SEO performance.

Our local search audit evaluates your website authority, ranking for specific keywords, local listings, online reputation (reviews), Google My Business, on-site SEO, and social channels and provides recommendations for improving your performance for each.

This is updated periodically (up to once each month) to reflect any updates or improvements made during the previous period.

Local SEO monitoring & reporting

We use a range of tools to help support us in delivering quality local SEO. In order to provide us with information on where your links are coming from, competitive analysis, keyword research, and more, we need to set you up on our platforms.

As part of the setup process, you will be provided with access to your online local SEO dashboard to monitor progress.

This setup process is required for each physical location, usually based on the number of existing or desired Google Business Profile locations.

We advise starting with your own website optimisation because you have control over it, and because that’s where potential customers will end up.

From the Local SEO audit we identify and provide guidance for addressing necessary fixes or making website improvements that will improve your website's search rankings.

Our Essentials package assumes that you have the necessary resource to implement our recommendations. So should you need help to remedy any on-site SEO issues, we can provide separate cost estimates to deliver any technical changes either in one go or over time.

We work with you to ensure your Google Analytics tools are set up properly and configure Google Analytics and Google Search Console to measure what traffic and keywords are contributing to your sales or new business enquiries. 

We’ll also feedback on any observations and recommendations that could help deliver better results from your local SEO activities.

Keyword research & reporting

Building on insights from your on-boarding interview, Google Analytics and Google Search Console, we identify and propose up to 100 keywords to track and monitor across Google, Google Mobile, Google Maps, Bing and Bing Local.

We also propose up to 5 of these keywords to measure your share of search visibility across an agreed geographic area. 

These keywords and phrases - usually comprised of your brand terms, core products or services, and of course your locations - are reviewed, refined, prioritised, approved and added to our tracking and reporting platforms to monitor ranking against your local competition.
