A local SEO audit can help you identify opportunities to improve your Google visibility

What is a local SEO Audit?

A local SEO audit is the process of evaluating and improving the visibility and organic search traffic of a website. Its aim is to identify any potential improvements that can be made to your local business' website and wider digital footprint, with the goal of increasing its rank in Google and Bing’s search engine results pages (SERPs).

Our free local SEO audit includes examining factors such as the website’s structure, on-page content, backlinks, and technical SEO. Once this analysis is complete, the auditor will then provide an action plan with specific recommendations for improving the website’s visibility and organic search traffic.

These can be conducted periodically (e.g. every few months) or as needed, such as after a significant website update. We run a version of these audits for our clients each month as part of our ‘Done-with-you’ Local SEO service, as they provide an indication of how our local SEO recommendations and actions are improving performance, and help to prioritise where we should focus our attentions next.

What are the benefits of a local SEO audit?

1. Improved visibility and organic search traffic,

2. Increased enquiries and footfall,

3. Higher conversions.

The best thing about ranking well in local search is that, because potential customers are actively looking for what you offer in the location you offer it, they're way more likely to convert.

Our local SEO audit is your first step toward that. We will provide actionable insight to inform and drive your business toward improved visibility on organic search. This improved ranking will in turn leads to an increase in calls, enquiries and in-store visits. And, because of the already-high intent among these potential new customers, this also leads to a greater proportion of those enquiries leading to a purchase.

Rankings

Ultimately, local SEO results will come from being ranked well for service-related keywords across Google and Bing’s organic results. Our audit will show you where your business is ranking for your most important keywords across Google’s Organic, Mobile, Local Pack and Maps results as well as Bing’s Organic, Mobile and Local results.

Backlinks

Backlinks are one of the most important factors that contribute to a website’s ranking on Google. In order to generate backlinks, a website must have high-quality content that is worth linking to. Our audit will help identify how many links your website has to it, how your competitors compare and identify new linking opportunities.

Listings.png

Local directory listings

Local directories or citations are often used by Google and other search engines to check and confirm business details. Our audit will help identify where your local business is (and isn’t) listed among the key local directories, providing opportunities and identifying any inaccurate details.

Online reputation

Google wants to drive its users to the local businesses that deliver the best customer experience, so uses online reviews to determine ranking results. The more you have and the better they are, the better your local ranking. Our audit will help you to understand your local business’ reputation across multiple review sites.

On-site SEO

The way your website is built will have a significant impact on organic visibility and search traffic. Site speed, structure, mobile-friendliness, Meta data, use of image alt tags, and so on, will all impact on your local SEO performance. Our audit will help identify any technical SEO issues with your website that need addressing.

Google Business Profile

Your Google Business Profile is a mini-version of your own website that can appear across multiple organic search results including Google’s Maps and 'Local Pack'. Ensuring yours reflects your offering, and is regularly updated, will impact your local SEO performance. Our audit will help identify how yours is ranking locally for your services.

And more, including…

On-Page Content

The quality, quantity and relevance of a website’s content is one of the most important factors that influence its rank in SERPs. In order to rank high in Google, a website’s content must be well written, keyword-rich, and up-to-date. Our local SEO audit will help identify how much of your content has been indexed by Google.

Social Media

Social media is also becoming an increasingly important factor in local SEO. Websites that have a strong social media presence are more likely to rank higher in SERPs than those that don’t. This is because social media signals (such as shares and likes) are now being used by Google as a ranking factor. Our local SEO audit will help identify how ‘social’ your business is.
